TOMS® was founded in 2006 by American traveller and entrepreneur Black Mycoskie after befriending poor children in Argentina. After he found out they had no shoes to protect their feet, he set up the TOMS® company to fund and provide shoes to unfortunate children with his One for One™ movement.
